I can’t believe I actually didn’t buy this. Or I did buy it, and I put it away. I know I bought a book for it. Somewhere…my house is an abyss. It swallows things I put “away”.
I bought with this deck Understanding Aleister Crowley’s Thoth Tarot by Lon Milo DuQuette. I’ve read other books by him and enjoyed them. I assume this one will have his usual humor and seriousness as needed. Problem is, the print is extra tiny.
So I pulled out this deck and what strikes me immediately is that it’s not using pictures, but symbols. The symbols are supposed to go directly to your brain and, I guess, “ignite” the power of the card within you. Otherwise, the minors are pips and the trumps are butt-ugly.
Because I’m still in this Golden Dawn mode, I’m thinking of dragging this deck out to use. Every week, I pull out a new deck to use. If I dance with it and it likes me, I keep it in my pile. If not, well…the house gets it.
Llewellyn had another sale! I got the TV Series Tarot, Manga Tarot, Every Day Oracle, and, yes, another Lenormand deck. I got the Runic Tarot after letting it stew in my cart for 3 months. That’s it. I swear. No more decks.
Really.
Like no more pie.
